Elmo, the lovable little English setter is in Surrey UK. He is on an exciting new journey. This time however, it’s not just moving kennels due to closure, or a lengthy journey into his foster home, Elmo is looking for his FOREVER HOME ! With his big, bright eyes and infectious smile, he’s sure to bring joy and laughter to anyone who opens their heart.

He is currently living with his Foster Mum & 3 Foster Pals in Surrey UK he is a nature loving boy who loves to be in the garden chasing/watching birds, out on walks in lovely rural woodlands. His recall is coming along nicely & sit was no challenge for his tasty treats.

He is a real sweetheart who adores a cosy snuggle up, he spends time occasionally around younger children (2&6yrs) & was around older children in kennels, he is not tested with cats or small animals.

ELMO'S RESCUE STORY

Elmo a mini sized English setter boy tossed away as rubbish in the disgusting world of hunting. Rescued he shared his kennel space with many other companions of similar stories. Kennels struggled & closed resulting in the rescue moving Elmo & pals to new kennels. All very frightening & unsettling for them, new noises, new smells, new food & water, new people at the kennels, many new companions the kennels were much bigger than previous, sensory overload & in very hot conditions. Elmo had a torsion episode, he was scared & his life in the balance. Elmo underwent surgery having his spleen removed & his stomach stitched. Fast forward 8 months, he is an energetic bundle of fun & love. Elmo requires a sensitive gastro diet and meals need to be smaller & more frequent, no big meals & mindful of treats for this little fella. He loves to be outside & has a good amount of energy, he also loves to snuggles & cosy up. Vets in the Balkans & the UK have both said it is extremely unlikely his torsion episodes will return due to his surgery. However a cautious mindful diet is paramount in maintaining his health & wellbeing. Elmo has shown no complications with his health. Which is why it is now time for him to share his love and create unforgettable memories with his new family.

Elmo can be a little anxious at new things, your support & patience will guide him through, he is a quick learner, he recently had a mammoth journey to the UK only 4 weeks in, he is adapting to a new foster home & a whole sensory world of new things.
